Description

Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) — Bare Fiber

Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) bare fiber is an all-polymer optical medium consisting of a high-purity PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) core surrounded by a thin fluoropolymer cladding. With its large core diameter, superior flexibility and visible-light transmission window, POF bare fiber delivers low-cost, high-reliability optical links for short-to-medium-distance applications across industrial automation, automotive electronics and consumer devices.

  • Large-core POF bare fiber from 0.25–3.0 mm
  • Low attenuation ≤180–300 dB/km at 650 nm
  • Supplied on reels (150–12,000 m) for easy processing
